To me, it takes a lot of courage to wear some of these crazy designs that the Japanese come up with for their female characters.  Jaina Solo proved to be that brave and daring individual to do so, and do it with style. But it’s not just her stunning work as Fran from Final Fantasy XII that got my attention for this countdown. With costumes from series like Ah! My Goddess, Gankutsuou, Zelda, and even the Disney classic Sleeping Beauty, she makes all of her characters come to life with her stunning detail and wonderful accuracy. So to you Jaina, kudos and props for something I would never dare attempt. I salute you.

NinjAttorney & KaZzu NinjAttorney & KaZzu

Once again, male cosplayers are those who people don’t believe exist. But, once you see NinjAttorney and KaZzu, you’ll wanna believe. These guys not only are hysterically funny, but just flat out love what they make. Whether it’s the F-Zero love they dished out, or screaming “OBJECTION” as the rivals from the Ace Attorney series, they never stop wowing crowds with their work. These boys have a natural talent for this hobby, showing to everyone through their photos that it is all about fun and amusement. After all, we are all nerds here. So why not have fun with it?

There are some cosplayers that you just can’t help but sit back and say “Wow.” PikminLink is one of them. Specializing in her favorite series, The Legend of Zelda, this girl makes everyone do a double-take at no matter what convention she’s at. The level of work and craftsmanship on her costumes is nothing more that flawless and her props are absolutely to die for. Honestly, I’m at a loss for words on this one folks. I can’t help but just be in sheer awe of her costumes. So, just check out her costumes and photos guys. You will not be disappointed.

If there is one thing that truly impresses me in cosplay, its something that is made well and is accurate. And these two girls always seem to get it right. Breathlessaire and Starlighthoneym are some of the best upcoming cosplayers I have ever seen. Their attention to detail and craftsmanship have made the best vets jaws drop and eyes widen in shock. It still floors me to see just how much work and efforts these girls put into their costumes and it always shows in the end. They are usually buried under a hundred yards of bridal casa, but they claim that it will be all worth it in the end just to have a fabulous costume. Having being able to work with them recently, I feel that they deserve so much kudos for their work. I know that I couldn’t make two very complicated costumes in a week, but they did. How they did it? We’ll never know.

The Agents of Cosplay

Today, we’re not gonna take a look at one cosplayer: but a whole group! The Agents of Cosplay is one of the largest cosplay troupes on the east coast and some of the best when it comes to skits. This group takes the art of skits and brings it to a whole new level. Whether it’s performing the sending from Final Fantasy X, taking Tetris and creating epic warfare, or having some of the finest Men In Tights from animes perform a kick line, their ideas never cease to impress the crowds and judges alike. But, don’t let their epic ways scare you off. The Agents are the nicest people around. Their motto is to keep cosplay fun, no matter what. And it’s all very true when you see just how much passion has been put into everything they do.

Today on the Twelve Days, we are highlighting one of the best male cosplayer’s in the country. For those all who are new to cosplay; yes. Guys can cosplay too and look amazing doing it! Lord Masamune, a west coast con goer, looks like he has stepped out of whatever he is cosplaying. Mostly known for his incredible work as the villainous Sephiroth from Final Fantasy VII, the attention to detail and construction on every one of his pieces is just simply brilliant. But even while looking evil and creepy, he is still one of the nicest guys to have a conversation with. So, here’s to him! And all the amazing costumes in the future!
