Anime Contents Expo 2012 Confirmed
The unfortunate events of 11 Mar Touhoku Earthquake and Tsunami resulted in the cancellation of the inaugural Anime Content Expo earlier this year. Thankfully, the organisers of the event has announced today that the event will be held for the first time next year from 31 Mar till 01 Apr 2012 at Makuhari Messe Convention Center in Chiba prefecture.
To continue their protest against the Tokyo Metropolitan Government’s amendment to Tokyo’s Youth Healthy Development Ordinance, ACE 2012 will be held one week right after the annual Tokyo International Anime Fair scheduled between 22-25 Mar 2012. At least 10 major publishers have banded together to boycott the Tokyo Anime Fair earlier this year, so I would expect similar boycott of the TAF 2012. At least Kadokawa Shoten and Aniplex has confirmed that they will only be exhibiting at ACE 2012.

It would be interesting to see whether ACE 2012 will be able to steal the limelight from TAF 2012. But I guess its a good things for anime/manga fans since they would be able to attend both ^^
