It seems even Papa Bear, Bill O'Reilly, couldn't avoid jumping into the Comic Con hoopla! I never thought I'd see the day. I like how this a$$hole tries to link the "record numbers of people that have no idea what's really going on in this coutry" to the "diversion" of Comic Con. The on-the-scene-reporter looks like he's cosplaying "guy-with-a-stick-up-his-ass-man".
Bruce Willis has been appearing in a couple new commercials for Daihatsu’s Mira e:S. One commercial pokes some fun at the fact that so many Japanese commercials feature foreign celebrities who horribly mispronounce product names. Even though I don't understand a single word of Japanese, this commerical made me laugh. Too funny. Bruce Willis is great.
It's something I never thought would happen. In fact, the idea never even crossed my mind. But when I heard about it, it seemed so obvious. No, not Jason XVII: Attack of the Killer Space Toads (Jason does also wears a hockey mask, though not as well.) I'm talking about the Casey Jones Movie! You all remember him from TMNT. I never really considered that Japan might be on the terrorist hit list, but these videos clearly show the authorities there aren't taking any chances. In tokyo, the held public demonstrations near Shibuya Station to show off their skills. You never see anything like this in New York. I can't tell if it's because the police in New York are secretive, or lazy... or mayve they're just too darn busy macing women.
I've never actually had the opportunity to experience a traditional Japenese wedding. Thankfully, someone posted a video of one. It's always interesting to see how different cultures handle the types of things in life we all share, like marriage. If Adam Sandler were from Japan, the Wedding Singer would've had a totally different vibe. < ^_^ >
I swear I never, ever grow tired of Japanese prank videos. They go WAY beyond what is necessary, called for, and/or appropriate, but I LOVE IT. This port-o-potty prank is too much.
Japanese comedian and actor Ken Shimura teaches Pan-kun the chimpanzee how to brush his teeth! This video just re-affirms my love of chimpanzees. They are so smart and so cute. This little guy is definitely a far cry from Caesar from Rise of the Planet of the Apes, but I bet his brain can run circle around your dumb dog, Pedro's. I'm still mad at him for peeing on my rug, btw...
Legend has it that Shunsuke the Pomeranian is actually a super hero. What is his super power you ask? Super-cuteness of course! A recent Japanese TV report about this lil' pup has garnered him some serious internet fame. As the star of his own book and uber-popular twitter page (see the photo stream here), he's taking the interweb by storm! When the TV program aired a few weeks ago, Shunsuke had about 20,000 followers on Twitter. The number has since grown to over 40,000.
