From its Creators' Labo, Yamato unveils its latest master creation... Amanda Werner from Blassreiter. She's packin' heat and curvy as hell! I'd say this figure is a must have on those two points alone, but it seems like somethings a bit off. Don't get me wrong, there's nothing wrong with her... but doesn't it look like she has to pee? They could've done a bit better with the hair too. It looks more like tentacles than hair.
Otakuden's John Arzayus already has a beautiful Miku Hatsune figure in his collection. I think he might soon have another. The hair on this figure is cRaZy! Definitely great craftsmanship and creativity went into this one.
From the Black Rock Shooter anime comes a 1/8th scale figure of Strength - the mysterious girl who watched over one of Black Rock Shooter's battles from the shadows. The thing I like most about this figure is the contrast between the shine of her latex boots/stockings and the rough, matte look and feel of those enormous hands. This figure probably looks mighty impressive in person.
This Tsubasa Hanekawa figure from anime Bakemonogatari looks like a winner. The sculpting of the desk and chair is so good they almost look real and I love when anime figures come with props. To this day I'm still amazed at how much better Japanese figure makers are at incorporating movement into their work. The way her skirt is flowing almost look like it's being blown by a breeze. The American figures never seem to be able to convey movement.
Good Smile Company released a plethora of great figures this month, but for me, none of them top this one. I've long been a fan of figure's with fishnet. At such a small scale, the effect of those tiny cross-hatched holes usually looks really great. I'm also just a long time fan of fishnet... ( ^ _ ^ )
I can't wait to see this figure of Makise from Steins;Gate. I hope the shading on her jacket and hair looks as good in person as it does in the photos.
Alter is going to release the Aigis ( アイギス ) ART WORKS Ver. 1/6 PVC figure form the video game “Persona” series “Persona 3″ ( ペルソナ3) published by Altus. Will be released in January 2012. Around 285mm tall (with based), 9,800 yen.
This is a great post that breathes new life into the Queen's Blade Alice figure. This set has a great mood. The lighting is particularly well done.
It's always a treat to see new figure posts from Happy Soda. Before this post, there haven't been any figure posts since back in February. As always, the photos are amazing. Enjoy my fellow otakus.
